Meet your teacher
AnastasiiaLysytsyna
I was born in Odesa, Ukraine, into a family that already loved music and movement. I started dancing at three — and three decades later, I've never really stopped.
As a teenager I trained at Kyiv's top studios, competing across Ukraine and Europe. I earned a degree in Physical Education & Sport, which gave me the biomechanics and coaching foundation I still use with every student today.
In 2018 I moved to the United Kingdom and continued competing at the highest levels of professional ballroom and Latin, picking up some titles along the way:
- Under 21 European Champion
- Under 21 UK Champion
- Under 19 & Under 21 German Open Champion
- World Professional Rising Stars Champions
- World Professional Semifinalists
Now, through ALTA Dance, I share that experience across five venues in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Shropshire and Greater Manchester. My students range from five-year-olds at their first Tuesday class to couples learning their first dance, to competitive pairs preparing for the championship floor.
Teaching philosophy
Dance should feel like yours
Elite technique matters — but only in service of the story you're trying to tell. Whether you're a complete beginner or a competitive dancer, my job is to meet you where you are, make the lesson feel natural, and leave you dancing better than you thought possible.
I believe in patience, precision and joy. In that order.
